The TAPA APAC Intelligence System (TIS) is an essential platform that provides cargo crime intelligence that will further enhance your company’s ability to safeguard assets against criminal attacks and support your supply chain resilience programmes. TIS serves as a centralized resource of knowledge related to criminality against freight in transit and to facilitate the dissemination of that information to member companies and to Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs).
By participating in TIS, you gain a significant advantage in keeping yourself informed about cargo theft hotspots and evolving operating environments. This knowledge is vital for optimizing your individual risk management programs and ensuring the safety and security of your supply chain.
TIS is provided as part of the TAPA APAC membership at no additional cost to the subscribers and is provided free to all interested LEAs across the region.
Benefits:
- Creates a depository of global supply chain security incidents and TAPA certified sites stored in a common format to support statistical analyses
- Enables proactive and resilient cargo route planning with AI-enhanced route recommendation for ‘hot spots’ avoidance
- Facilitates rapid dissemination of incident occurrence through TIS alert emails
- Aids investigation and recovery of loss
- Provides a common platform for understanding of modus operandi used by offenders, active crime locations, updates and advice from law enforcement agencies
- Prevents cargo loss from recurrence and seek for industry collaboration
- Increases awareness of cargo theft issues at local, national and international level
Confidentiality of Incident Reports
TAPA understands that confidentiality is of utmost importance to our members. Rest assured, sharing intelligence with TIS is both quick and easy, and you can choose to remain anonymous throughout the process. At no point will you be asked to provide company or personal information. The sole purpose of this service is to assist companies in protecting their supply chain operations from criminal attacks.
We want to emphasize that every piece of cargo crime intelligence holds value, regardless of whether you can provide all the requested information in the report form. Even reports of unsuccessful attempted cargo thefts are crucial, as they contribute to preventing future incidents. Historical cargo crime intelligence from the last two years is particularly valuable and will further strengthen our collective efforts against criminal activities.
