In view of the ever-changing landscape of security requirements in the supply chain industry, we ensure that the TAPA Standards incorporates the latest knowledge, best practices, and cater to evolving stakeholder expectations through regular review of Standards.

TAPA APAC will launch the new version of “FSR and TSR 2023 Standards” in mid-September 2023. Kindly note the following critical points with the upcoming launch of FSR 2023 TSR 2023 Standards:

A. FSR 2023 & TSR 2023 Standards Launch

  • The FSR 2023 and TSR 2023Standards will be launched on Sep-15-2023 globally.
  • In APAC, this will be a soft launch allowing members to go through and prepare themselves where necessary.
  • A copy of the Standards will be shared to the Primary Admin Member contact person name and email as recorded in TAPA APAC Members database.

B. Training

  • The existing FSR 2020 & TSR 2020 Standards training will continue till Sep-2023.
  • The training for the FSR 2023 and TSR 2023 Standards will commence from Oct-2023.
  • Details and schedule of the trainings are published in the TAPA APAC website. Click here to view schedule.
  • Existing 2020 Authorised Auditors (AAs) can attend the refresher training for 2020 Standards till Sep-2023 and revalidate their 2020 AA status for another 3 years. This will help to conduct audits for re-certification or new certification in the remaining 2023.
  • Effective Oct-2023, when the New 2023 Standards trainings are rolled out, existing AAs of 2020 standards and new participants can attend and qualify for AA 2023 Standards.
  • The AAs trained to a higher version of the Standard allows them to audit all the preceding versions. For example, a qualified FSR 2023 AA is allowed to audit the previous versions of FSR 2020 / FSR 2017 Standards as well.

C. Audits and Certifications

  • To ensure continuity of the certification cycle, support member operations and business requirements, TAPA APAC will implement the following-
  • The New 2023 Standards Audit and Certification will be effective from Jan-01-2024.
  • Existing FSR 2020 and TSR 2020 Certifications that are expiring in the remainder of 2023 can apply for re-certification to 2020 Standards, with another 3 years validity from the date of approval of audit.
  • Unless a member company has contractual requirements to the 2020 or earlier Standards, the tracking numbers for FSR 2020 and TSR 2020 Standards audit and certification will be issued only till Dec-15-2023 and are valid for audits that are carried out not later than Dec-31-2023.
  • Unless a member company has contractual requirements to the 2020 or earlier Standards, effective Jan-01-2024, tracking numbers issued are applicable for audits and certification under the New 2023 Standards.

D. Interim Audit / Annual Self-Audit / Surveillance Audit

As per Certification requirements, the interim / annual self-audits will need to be completed and sent to TAPA APAC for Level C and Level 3; for other higher levels the report will need to be submitted to the respective IAB’s who have issued the certificate. The tracking number originally assigned for the audit will remain applicable for interim / annual / surveillance audits until the expiry of the certification.
