Chairman’s New Year Message 2023

Dear Valued Members,

2022 was another record-breaking year for TAPA APAC with over 650 member companies and more than 300 certified sites. With this astonishing level of growth, we are confident to double our memberships this year.

As we begin the year with a new strategic vision and direction towards resilience and sustainability, our goal is to ensure that our members’ supply chains remain the most resilient in the industry amid new opportunities and diverse challenges. Let’s work together to help every member in the TAPA APAC Family to increase their awareness of TAPA Standards and build resilience against disruptions and risks.

We have started on our transformation efforts to Engage, Evolve & Elevate our membership services and activities.

Engage – Increasing Membership Value

This year, we focus on creating an immense value for members across all fronts – from membership services and training support to member events and conferences. We will be addressing areas of pressing concern for members and provide a platform for members to exchange expert knowledge and develop solutions. We are setting up working committees and member roundtable talks to explore specific topics and industries such as Pharmaceutical, Tobacco and Cyber Security.

Evolve – New Standards and Systems

We are developing new Standards in the areas of scrap management and brand protection, new advanced training courses and tools to help members align their security needs. Members can also look forward to a new Security Management Systems (SeMS) that integrates TAPA Standards to align their security systems, processes and procedures.

Elevate – Greater Support Level

As the leading association for supply chain solutions, our priorities are set to elevate the support level and network for members by forming new strategic partnerships with industry stakeholders like Governments, International Trade Agencies, and Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs).

With best regards,

Tony Lugg

Chairman, TAPA APAC
